Minimum Age: 18 years or older

Course Description:

Refereeing: Learning Outcomes Level 3 Candidates
A Level 3 referee should be capable of administering and managing the game of basketball up to senior national league, working within the spirit and intent of the rules
Course content
Unit 1: Game Administration
Unit 2: Mechanics
Unit 3: Violations
Unit 4: Contact
Unit 5: Infractions, Penalties and Special Situations
Unit 6: Communication and Game Management
Unit 7: Officiating in General

The course is 16 hours in duration followed by written exam and practical assessment. Candidates must observe other Referees Officiating at a high standard game as part of their course work. Candidates must bring their own whistle to the course and bring a grey referee top or plain polo shirt. This course is for qualified and experience Level 2 Referees wanting to progress their refereeing career.
